Dead Librarian Edition: All Kinds Of Things Kill ReviewMy super stalking talents paid off a few months ago & I was able to track down Robert R Best. I'm his #1 fan (he knows me as Annie Wilkes) but I am not going to hold him hostage and make him change an ending to one of his wicked little stories because that's the last thing I want him to do! The 1st time heard about Robert was on a website called Podibooks where you can download free audio books. I downloaded his book "All Kinds of Things Kill"
My obsession with this author began and after listening... to the 2nd story called "The Wife's Confession" and after hearing "Charity and The Vampire" my plans to stalk this man began to formulate.
I scowered the Internet for almost two weeks and was on the verge of panic before I found an email address, because the ink and paper version of All Kinds of Things Kill was sold out on Amazon.
In the subject line of my email I told him that I was his #1 fan. Now we've all read Misery, and some of you saw the movie, so it's pretty creepy to get an email from a stranger calming to be your #1fan.
I lamented to him that the book was out of stock and begged him to send me an autographed copy that I was sure he had in his private library. He email mailed me back
( I know right!) and explained that he was revising AKOTK and adding more stories & he agreed to sign my brand new revised copy of All Kinds of things Kill and he promised to send me an email when it was in stock on Amazon, which he did.
I've had my copy for a couple of months now and still haven't sent it off to be signed
Because I opened it...
There are way more stories than what he promised and I'm having just as much fun reading the original stories as I did when I listened to them and I can still hear Laura voice as I read. =D
I should have just sent it to him the minute I got it because now I don't want to send it because what if someone see the name on the envelope and knows that the book is inside and steals it?
