It grabbed me right away and you keep reading until you find out what happens! Very good for a first novel. I met the author in my travels and I encouraged her to write a continuing story. I told her we need more clean stories with a Christian message. News arrives in Ireland that Cali's aunt Abigail has died in America, and Cali is the unexpected recipient of the family manor in Florida. Cali arrives to find things may not be as they seem. The townsfolk are less than welcoming, her estranged brother is nowhere to be found, and Abigail's will contains a cryptic message: "Continue the search." In search of comfort, Cali strikes up a friendship with local mechanic and widower Dusty Davis. A series of strange occurrences at the manor make Cali fear for her life, and Dusty is her only consolation. Although she thwarts Dusty's romantic advances, she does agree to accompany him to church, where her long-lost faith is rekindled, along with some unexpected feelings of fondness for the humble mechanic. Clues follows a mysterious path toward truth, as Cali Martin's self-imposed walls begin to fall, along with the veils of secrecy around the Martin family history. The secrets are far-reaching, and Cali has difficulty facing the truth alone. With the help of Dusty and the startling reappearance of estranged family members, Cali finds strength in companionship and her newly awakened faith in the Lord. But the question remains: will the truth she discovers be better than the lie?
